The incorporation of Beniarbeig Town Hall into the Xarxa Jove de la Marina Alta has allowed a group of young people aged between 16 and 18 from various countries, such as France and Italy, to help with tasks to adapt the old school into a space for young people in collaboration with the Councillor for Youth. .

The campaign is part of the Agenda Valenciana Antidespoblament (AVANT) and in this case is managed by DeAmicitia, an entity which works with international volunteer camps and has a house in Sanet i els Negrals, from where the young people are collaborating with the towns and the villages in the Girona valley.

Councillor Sara Gil Peretó has thanked the volunteers for their work, as they have already helped to «take out rubbish, take out nails and put up tape prior to painting, so that the space can be available for young people from the autumn onwards».
